Hippie Mafia are a Psytrance Duo hailing from Johannesburg in South Africa. The masterminds behind the name are best friends Josh Schachat and Daniel Peimer who have shared a love for psytrance since as long as they can remember.

This Duo started producing their own beats back in 2012 as their current alias Double Story. Since then these musical pinoneers have earned themselves the title as arguably South Africas most loved and decorated Psytrance act and Hippie Mafia has become a household name among the South African Psytrance Scene.

Hippie Mafia produce a Psychedelic full-on daytime sound. Their music combines playful harmonics and bouncy basslines that give an excellent platform to a wild daytime journey. This duo is contantly working on innovating their sound having moved towards a style they call \\\"New Age Funk.\\\"

Hippie Mafia have shared the stage along-side many of the Psytrance Industry \\\'Heavy Hitters\\\' such as Major 7, Morten Granau, GMS, BassCannon, Reality Test, Ghost Rider and Mystical Complex just to name a few. Hippie Mafia have headlined the stage in countries such as India, Australia, Brazil, Switzerland and Germany.
